F.A.Q.

  • I see therapy as a place to learn that the challenges you are facing are not unusual or unsolvable, and that therapy is a place to learn and practice skills to meet those challenges. Our sessions will help to map out these challenges, practice addressing them, and importantly, will also include things to do between sessions to enhance these skills. Most sessions are 55 minutes in length and our time is best used if we have a clear idea of what we want to work on each meeting. Most courses of therapy are between 15-20 sessions.

  • Evidence-based treatment is collaborative, informed by research findings, and employed to address the issues or challenges of most importance to you.

Evidence-Based practice involves the blending of empirical research findings from high-quality, peer reviewed studies that demonstrate evidence of effectiveness along with my clinical expertise and your wishes and desires.

  • Both! I offer in-person sessions on Tuesday (day and evening) in Newton Center, MA and at other mutually convenient times via telehealth.

  • My top rate is $300 per session. This is market-rate for a professional with my background, experience and expertise. I do offer a limited number of sliding scale time slots based on ability to pay. Payments can be made by arrangement, or following monthly invoices I will send to you. Credit cards, venmo payments, bank payments and checks are all accepted.

  • Yes! All invoices will contain diagnostic and procedure codes, dates of service and other information typically requested for out of network reimbursement.

  • Therapy should feel like an endeavor you undertake to make progress on issues important to you. Each session should feel productive and focused on things that matter to your progress. We should check in often about how therapy is going, knowing that your time and resources are valuable.
